With the impact of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak being felt by businesses across the UK, we are writing to update you on preparations we are taking for the potential implications of this significant challenge.

Preparing to ensure business continuity in all scenarios, including during situations like this, is something Sentaur Services Limited are currently taking seriously.

We do have facilities for remote working and access to all our systems, which allows us to react to and mitigate the risk of spread of the virus. When the first cases of Covid-19 were identified in the UK, we did review the situation and put in place specific measures to manage the resulting risks that could of possibly affected our business.

We are taking the following specific actions:

  • Wherever possible, we are offering client meetings to be carried out online rather than face-to-face and avoiding any physical contact, such as handshakes in any meetings that continue on a face-to-face basis.

  • We are following all government guidelines with respect to travel.

  • We are suspending conferences and large meetings both internal & external.

  • We are undergoing regular deep cleaning of all our offices, equipment & company vehicles.

  • Colleagues returning from travel, either business or personal, from a high-risk area are being asked to work from home for 14 days irrespective of symptoms.

  • Any staff members who are showing symptoms as outlined through government guidelines have been asked to self-isolate and not return to work for at least 7 days and/or until symptoms stop.

  • At this time we request the following information is provided to us prior to any works or visits that may be carried out:

  • Information in relation to anyone who has travelled abroad or anyone who may of come into contact with someone who has contracted Covid-19 or has currently contracted Covid-19 within premises we may be attending.

  • Any special measures that are implemented in relation to site visits including emergency callouts Sentaur Service Limited may attend.

  • Interruptions to any supply chains that may affect our services.

At this present time, we ask all our clients and working partners to take into consideration any delays or interruptions to our services based on conditions out of our hands.  For example, public transport delays and delays from our suppliers, we have up to now found a number of items and products we use to be out of stock based on the current situation.

We do not currently foresee any major impact on the continuity of our service, however the interruption of being able to visit particular sites, properties & buildings may have an effect on our service.  Should the situation change, we will notify you immediately.  Although we believe the actions we have put in place are appropriate for the current levels of risk, they are in constant review.

We will be in contact as the situation evolves.
